Consultations
When you visit Dr Salisbury for the first time you can expect to feel completely at ease. Dr Salisbury’s team maintains a strong focus on discreet personal care in a relaxed, quiet and unhurried environment.
What to expect?
Your initial consultation will take approximately forty minutes and includes collation of supplied history, taking into account examination both generally and gynaecologically. Investigations as deemed appropriate may include ultrasound, colposcopy and appropriate blood and microbiological investigations.
Your particular special concerns and needs are observed in a sensitive and personal manner. Relatives and friends are always welcome during the consultation if you should wish.
Dr Salisbury believes it is essential for patients to understand what is happening to them every step of the way. He wants you to maintain a feeling of control about the process. After your initial consultation Dr Salisbury will be able to determine a preliminary diagnosis and make testing recommendations and management options. You will have ample time to discuss any concerns or queries. Printed material is available to take away to help you make informed decisions. |
How to prepare
When you come to your appointment remember to bring your referral letter and any copies of previous operations, medical records, X-rays, MRI’s or CT scans that may be relevant to your current consultation. Please also bring your Medicare card, details of any private health insurance that you may have and a list of your current medications and any known allergies. If you coming for fertility concerns it is appropriate for your partner to attend. |
Payment
Payment is due at the time of your consultation and we accept EFTPOS and common credit cards including Visa and MasterCard. |
Cancellations
To cancel an appointment please telephone the Office during business hours. If at all possible please allow 24 hours notice so the appointment time can be allocated to another patient who is seeking treatment. |
